Yasir J. Sepah completed his medical school from Aga Khan University, Pakistan and then moved to US to pursue his ambition of helping humanity through his research.

Yasir Sepah's research has focused on design and initiation of early phase I/II clinical trials that focus on drugs repositioning for various ocular conditions such as uveitis, diabetic macular edema and age-related macular degeneration. Additionally, his expertise lies in the standardization of acquisition and interpretation of ocular imaging and visual functional data. He has designed and commercialized automated algorithms for image processing, such as fluorescein angiography leakage maps in conditions such as diabetic macular edema.

His work in the field has led to the creation of Ocular Imaging Research and Reading Center (OIRRC), a bay area start-up. OIRRC is a core imaging lab focused on centralized, masked assessments for various types of ocular imaging data acquired from subjects enrolled in ophthalmology clinical trials. Dr. Sepah has extensive experience in leading multi center clinical trials, and a core imaging lab that provides support to hundreds of clinical sites across the globe.
