Mauro brings over 20 years of experience in medical technology and product innovation, with deep expertise in product management, business development, and clinical trial support for ophthalmic devices. As Head of Product Management and Business Development for EMEA, Mauro leads cross-functional teams focused on strategic partnerships, product lifecycle management, and alignment with clinical and scientific objectives.

Before joining OIRRC, Mauro held progressive leadership roles at NIDEK Technologies Srl, where responsibilities spanned global product strategy, KOL engagement, R&D collaboration, and international marketing. Notable contributions include the development and launch of groundbreaking technologies such as the MP1 Microperimeter and the Confoscan 4, both of which brought novel diagnostic capabilities to the field of retinal and corneal imaging.

With a solid technical foundation as a former Project Manager in R&D and experience as a Software Developer and Systems Administrator, Mauro bridges technical depth with strategic business vision. Mauro is also experienced in supporting clinical trials, collaborating with global stakeholders, and advancing product evaluation strategies.

Mauro holds a Master of Science in Electronic Engineering with a specialization in Biomedical Engineering from the Università degli Studi di Padova, and completed an executive course in Marketing & Communication at CUOA Business School.
