Hikmet is an accomplished engineering and R&D leader with over two decades of experience spanning signal processing, medical imaging, aerospace systems, and embedded software development. Currently serving as Director of Signal Processing, Hikmet leads innovation in medical image processing systems supporting advanced ophthalmic research.
With a Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Eskişehir Osmangazi University, Hikmet’s academic and research focus has included indoor positioning systems, real-time data acquisition, and facial feature detection in biometric imaging. Previous roles have included CTO, General Manager, and R&D Manager at leading Turkish engineering firms, as well as key technical positions within the Turkish Air Force and Israel Aerospace Industries.
Throughout a dynamic career, Hikmet has designed and implemented high-performance systems across military, industrial, and healthcare sectors—delivering expertise in embedded software, robotics, RF systems, and real-time communication protocols. Technical proficiencies include C, C++, C#, CUDA, Python and Java; as well as hardware and software integration for microcontroller platforms. Hikmet also has significant experience on AI deep learning algorithms and a wide array of development tools and environments including MATLAB, Pytorch, Tensorflow, ROS, SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor and Altium Designer.
Known for bridging complex system design with practical innovation, Hikmet contributes to multidisciplinary collaborations at the intersection of engineering and biomedical research.
